Maison Haas Hustinx is located on Maastricht’s beautiful Vrijthof Square with great views of the historical basilica and churches. The hotel is housed in two monumental buildings constructed in 1920, and offers 17 unique rooms and suites that depict the eclectic styles of the 1920s. Each room is unique; built or restored with great respect to the historic space it occupies. The rooms are furnished in collaboration with design brand Normann Copenhagen and local artists and craftsmen. Tailored finishing is found in every detail; from hand-blown glass pieces to in-house designed and custom-built furniture. In 2020, Maison Haas Hustinx took a leap into the future, with a new, seamlessly designed structure that was erected behind the historical houses. The new space is due to open its doors to guests in August 2020, offering a glass conservatory space for breakfast, a sustainable wellness sanctuary, and additional rooms. Built using zinc, steel and glass the modern structure contrasts the historic style of the monumental houses that have been restored to preserve their original identity. Sustainability was taken into account at every step of the construction process introducing resource efficiency to the property’s gas free operation and ensuring a minimal carbon footprint for our guests.
