Bookstore Dominicanen
Church-based bookstoreFrom bicycle shed to book temple. In December 2006, a bookshop was established for the first time in the Dominican Church. Here you will find a wonderful assortment of books and an extensive range of CDs and Vinyl. The former choir of the Dominican Church is the cultural stage of the space. Weekly activities take place here, such as signing sessions, debates, lectures, interviews and musical performances. You can also simply enjoy a coffee there.
Marres
Museum for Contemporary ArtMarres develops exhibitions, organizes workshops, creates walks in the city and region and offers a wide range of education and participation activities. With approximately 1000m2, their garden is the largest public garden in Maastricht. They welcome visitors from Tuesday-Sunday from 12:00-17:00.

Dining in Old FirestationToday the former brandweerkazerne has a dynamic, lively and creative character under the name 'De Brandweer'. You can enjoy a delicious meal or simply come by for a coffee and their banana bread. De Brandweer is a collective, creative and inspiring meeting place for Maastricht and the surrounding area. It also has a large multifunctional space that can be rented for meetings, events or cosy gatherings.

Winetasting & WineryIn 1717, merchant Guillaume Thyssen started his wine business in a stately town house in the heart of Maastricht. This is where Thiessen's special history began. Now, more than 300 years later, in addition to a wine trade, this is a beautiful event location. In their port cellar, from the 14th century, you are literally in the middle of Maastricht’s history. Here, they offer weekly tastings and organize special tailor-made wine tastings.

From the viewing point at the Luikerweg in Maastricht you can descend a more than 200 step staircase into the quarry.
