Maison Haas Hustinx is housed in two monumental buildings constructed in 1920 overlooking the Vrijthof square.  Seventeen rooms were built & restored with great respect to the historical site and furnished with modern amenities. In 2020, a seamless structure was erected in zinc and glass; behind the houses and home to Sanctum Spa and Restaurant Safar.

Maison Haas Hustinx began as a leap into the unknown by a young man of 24 from the south of The Netherlands.
Mijn naam is Haas en ik weet van niks; “my name is Hare and I know nothing”, The restoration of these structures was a humble and daring expression of his own history, translating into a place for travellers seeking peace and inspiration in this historic city and its surroundings.

A captivating maze of cobble streets and ancient city walls surround the structure leading into the inner city streets filled with vibrant shops and restaurants.
